Morial Convention Center, has been selected to serve a one-year term on the City of New Orleans, Office of Supplier Diversity’s State and Local Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SLDBE) Appeals Committee, by Camille Hazeur, Director of The Office of Supplier Diversity.

The newly constructed roadway for Convention Center Boulevard, from Julia Street to the river bound Calliope Street will be open on June 1. In that phase, construction will be concentrated on the park side of the project. Motorists can expect intermittent closures for the positioning of heavy equipment. Dedicated cross-walks for pedestrians will continue to have crossing officers during heavy use.
The new roadway will feature one lane in each direction with a cobblestone safety strip dividing the two lanes.

Beginning 10 a.m. Friday, February 8th through 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12th Convention Center Boulevard will be closed between the river bound and lake bound lanes of Calliope Streets to erect the 75 foot steel beams that will support the canopy from the Transportation Center to the Convention Center over Convention Center Boulevard. Traffic will be re-routed to South Peters which remains two way between the two Calliope Streets.
