NEW ORLEANS – More than 20,000 pounds of supplies – enough to fill a 20’ box truck to capacity, plus a trailer for overflow items – were donated by New Orleans residents for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts in Texas. Nth Degree, an international exhibitor management company with offices in New Orleans and Houston and all major cities throughout the United States, organized the donation drive at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center last Thursday, September 7.
Tradeshow contractors, Convention Center employees, Centerplate, schools, and individuals stepped up to help our neighbors in Texas by contributing cases of water, paper towels, diapers, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene items. The supplies were delivered to Orange Christian Services (OCS) in the flood-affected area of Orange, TX on Saturday, September 9.
OCS is a non-profit organization of 43 local churches joined together in Christian love to give emergency assistance to those in their local area unable to obtain help elsewhere. OCS offers food, clothing, medical & dental emergencies, prescriptions, utilities/rent, milk for children under 12 years of age, referrals and counseling.
Donating companies included: EAC’s (Exhibitor Appointed Contractors who install/dismantle exhibits for trade shows nationwide; Lance Populis – Rigging Foreman FDC; Douglass Displays; Zenith Labornet; Coastal International; Renaissance Management; Czarnowski; Skyline Exhibits; Tradeshow Guys; Lawrence Baptist Church; Expo Signs; Centerplate; Raphael Academy Students, New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center employees and Corporation Bar & Grill.

The Convention Center’s Public Safety Department donated bleach and cleaning supplies for the Hurricane Harvey relief effort.
