Meeting planners know it isn’t hard to attract people to an event taking place in New Orleans. But the appeal of the Crescent City aside, the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center offers everything a meeting planner needs to stage a successful event. In recent years, the Center has undergone $142 million in upgrades and renovations including new furnishings, new flooring, an updated look, and facility-wide enhancements to provide a bright and engaging contemporary environment.
In 2013, the Convention Center debuted The Great Hall, a 60,300 sq.ft. divisible, column-free ballroom with 25,400 sq.ft. multi-use pre-function space, 4,660 sq.ft. Rivergate Room, 3,420 sq.ft. rooftop terrace, and hotel-like appointments throughout. In addition, the Convention Center’s main entrance was completely redone, and the addition of a pedestrian plaza provides a grand sense of arrival to all attendees and serves as a more seamless connection to New Orleans’s famous walkable hotel packages.
The facility also boasts:
