A new attraction of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, the Streetcar Bar was officially christened Wednesday evening during a preview party for NOLA Christmas Fest, which runs December 20 through 31 at the Convention Center.
The Streetcar Bar is a three-quarter sized replica of the internationally recognized streetcars of New Orleans. This new installation is 33 feet long and functions as a full bar serving patrons from the windows of the Streetcar Bar.

This weekend, the Convention Center will host a number of events. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early and pay close attention to directional signs for the best access to parking. Over 35,000 people will be attending various events beginning Thursday, November 15 through Sunday, November 18. Beginning Saturday, September 29, traffic on Convention Center Boulevard will be re-routed to the river-side, with one lane in each direction. This condition will exist for the next several months during the construction of a pedestrian park from Poydras to Henderson Streets.
Congestion will be intermittently heavier when events are underway at the Convention Center, as will be the case beginning Monday, October 1, with 20,000 people attending the Water Environment Federation Convention.

New Orleans CityBusiness has selected the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center as a 2018 “Best Places to Work” honoree in the “Large Companies” category.
All 50 companies chosen will be honored at an awards event at noon Friday, Dec. 7, at the Hyatt Regency. The top three large and small companies will be announced at the event.
