Farm and Table NOLA FAMboree to be held at the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center

NEW ORLEANS – The Farm and Table FAMboree, a free-admission, family-friendly festival, will be held at the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Convention Center on Saturday, September 8. The event will bring the farm to table movement to the community with gardening and cooking demonstrations, an interactive kids zone, wellness arena, live farm animals, music, relaxation lounge, and more.

Tickets for Chefs Taste Challenge: Battle of the Gulf Now on Sale

NEW ORLEANS – Tickets are now on sale for New Orleans’ premiere cooking competition, Chefs Taste Challenge, taking place on September 7, 2018. Eight chefs from the Gulf Coast region will prepare a dinner entrée tasting course. Awards for wining dishes will be selected by attendees and a panel of judges. NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center received the “Equity Ally Award” from The Good Work Network, a nonprofit that helps minority and women-owned small businesses develop the necessary talents and skills to succeed.

In May, members of the New Orleans Fire Department’s Second District toured the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center to become familiar with its fire prevention, detection, and emergency response initiatives.

NOFD members were welcomed by the President and GM of the New Orleans Ernest N. Exhibition Hall Authority Board Adopts Five-Year Convention Center Capital Improvement Plan

The Ernest N. Morial New Orleans Exhibition Hall Authority (“the Authority”) adopted a $557 million five-year capital improvement plan that includes renovations of the 34-year old Morial Convention Center (“Center”), as well as lays the foundation for development of new facilities that include a Convention Center Headquarter Hotel with a physical connection to the Center.

Morial New Orleans Exhibition Hall Authority (“the Authority”) visited the New Orleans Police Department’s Real Time Crime Monitoring Center recently to learn of its capabilities in reducing crime.
