Alexis Berggren has been named Director of Event Services at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center – the sixth largest convention center in the nation. In her role as Director, she will supervise the planning and execution of all events held at the Convention Center. Berggren will head a team of nine Event Services Managers who boast a whopping 148 years experience at the convention center, with four members serving 28 or more years.

Recycling and sustainability efforts of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, host of The Greenbuild Conference and Expo on October 22-24, resulted in a waste diversion rate of 78% for the event, exceeding the 65% goal set forth by U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) by 13%. The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center has named Shelley Montamat as Onboarding Specialist/Trainer. In her new role, Montamat is responsible for a variety of obligations that relate to personnel and training functions within the Human Resources Department at the Center.
