The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center has received the 2009 Prime Site Award from Facilities & Destinations magazine. The award is voted on by the readership of over 51,000 corporate, association, consumer and tradeshow managers and directors who plan conventions and tradeshows throughout North America. Planners selected the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center based upon technology, customer service, and the attractiveness and functionality of the venue.
The recognition is published in the 2009 Facilities & Destinations SuperBook, a national trade publication for exposition, event and convention management, and online at Facilitiesonline.com.
“We listened to our clients’ and partners’ needs and made over $67 million in building upgrades over the past four years. These honors demonstrate that we’ve met with their approval and we hope to continue to impress them by continuing to raise the bar in the areas of service, amenities and flexibility,” said Bob Johnson, president/general manager of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. “We want to be the best Tier One facility in the country.”
