The New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center recently celebrated the Grand Opening of its new, full-service The UPS Store location, becoming the first convention center in the country to own a franchise to operate a business center.
The UPS Store will provide show management, attendees and exhibitors a full range of services under a nationally recognized brand that will be seamlessly integrated with the other services offered by the Convention Center.
Bob Johnson, president/general manager of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center welcomed Stuart Mathis, president of Mail Boxes Etc., Inc. (MBE), a UPS subsidiary, and Kevin Pignone, MBE vice president of non-traditional development, at the Grand Opening celebration.
“It’s an honor for The UPS Store brand to be selected as the logistics provider for the convention center’s exhibitors and attendees,” Mathis said. “We are confident The UPS Store will meet their printing, packing, shipping and other business service needs.”
“Our goal is to be the best Convention Center in the nation, and by attracting an iconic brand like The UPS Store, we are providing the best business center services in the industry,” Johnson said. “In that we are the franchisee, all these services will be integrated with other services offered to our clients and guests.”
In addition to domestic and international shipping, The UPS Store offers printing and document services, full-service packing and shipping, computer rental and mail receiving service.
The UPS Store at the Convention Center will also offer services to neighboring residents and businesses with an exterior entrance, mailbox and postal services, 24/7 lobby and pull-up parking.
