The Parking Operations Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a financial and operational plan for the parking facilities of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This role includes both developing near-term and long-term strategies and goals for each facility as well as an operational requirement of managing the day-to-day operations of the facilities.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and three to five years related experience and/or training in managing parking facilities and/or similar facilities; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years in a supervisory or management position desired. Certified Parking Professional (CPP) credentials or be eligible to obtain the credentials within two years of their initial employment.
The Desktop Technician is responsible for providing end user support to the New Orleans Morial Convention Center Staff. This individual shall be detail-oriented, results driven, flexible and able to perform duties in high pressure situations. The Desktop Technician shall have an extensive knowledge of industry standards related to PC hardware/software environments and demonstrate an intermediate to advanced understanding of desktop business applications including network printing and file storage.
Associates degree from two-year college or university; and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiar with all aspects of Windows 7, PC administration, and Exchange email system support. Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Window PC and VMware environments and server services. Capable of developing PC-related standards, procedures and processes.
Public Safety- Guest Services Ambassador

The Guest Services Ambassador (also known as GSA) is responsible for providing excellent customer service and creating an exceptional experience to all guests of the MCCNO. The GSA must be able to effectively communicate information verbally and graphically (via MCCNO provided equipment) regarding the event, building, and the City of New Orleans. Additionally, it is the responsibility of the GSA to maintain the cleanliness, comfort, safety, and overall appearance of his/her assigned area. The GSA must be able to offer assistance to attendees throughout all areas of the MCCNO. The expression “Going above and beyond” is a normal operating standard for this position. The GSA reports to the Public Safety Department as well as the Event Services Department at times. This individual shall serve as a Public Safety Officer on non-event days.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); two years security, safety and customer service related experience and/or training in the hospitality industry preferred. Certification in first aid and CPR desired. To perform this job successfully, the employee must have a basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiar with internet operations and have basic knowledge of iPad use.
The Network Manager is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the New Orleans Morial Convention Center’s network by providing leadership through the effective and efficient definition, design, monitoring and operational support of the data communications network. This individual shall be a self-driven, conscientious and detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a commitment to client satisfaction.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training in a convention, hotel and/or multi-purpose facility preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years supervisory experience desired. N+ and CCNA Certifications preferred. Strong working knowledge of TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, IPSec, L2TP, PPP. SIP, SMTP, POP, IMAP, DHCP, DNS. RADIUS, EAP and Firewall technologies. Proven hands-on experience in tools to perform Traffic Engineering, Peering, Capacity Planning, and Intrusion Detection, SPAM control, network audits and security. Wireless systems and protocol, Xirrus experience preferred.
The Refrigeration/Kitchen Mechanic III is responsible for performing corrective and preventative maintenance on
all Refrigeration and kitchen equipment as well as assist with HVAC equipment maintenance throughout the New
Orleans Morial Convention Center.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED);
Technical school background in related field preferred. Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience. Type Universal Card required.
The Facility Attendant II is responsible for assisting the Environmental Services Foreman in ensuring that the facility is maintained in world-class condition.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year related experience and/or training. Ability to work irregular/extended hours as necessary including nights, weekends and holidays as show schedules dictate. Certification in the safe and proper operation of personal lifts, fork lifts and sweeping/ scrubbing equipment required.
Part-time Parking Attendants are needed.
The Public Safety Officer is responsible for performing duties associated with security, public safety, fire safety and emergency response in accordance with policies and procedures set by the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. This individual is responsible for protecting the building, personnel and guests against possible safety infractions and responds to and documents all incidents related to public safety.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two years security, safety or law enforcement related experience and/or training preferred. Certifications in first aid and CPR desired. This individual shall be able to work extended/irregular hours as necessary including nights, weekends and holidays, professionally interact with diverse groups of people in high pressure situations and have reliable transportation.
