Electrical- Electrician III

General Description: The Electrician III is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all electrical installations and systems of the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. This individual is responsible for monitoring, repairing and installing all electrical equipment according to established industry guidelines, local and national codes.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical school background or apprenticeship program preferred. Four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Class D City of New Orleans Electrical License required.
Plant Maintenance - Building Maintenance Coordinator
Salary: $12.00-$13.51

General Description: The Building Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for the daily monitoring and operation of the Building Automation System (BAS) as well as Work Order System of the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. This individual monitors all systems as to the proper and safe limitation of equipment in accordance with industry guidelines and ensures the efficient flow of work orders throughout the building.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical school background in related field preferred. Two to four years related experience and/or training. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekend and/or holidays as required by show schedules.

General Description: The Kitchen Foreman is responsible for overseeing the repair and maintenance of all food service equipment throughout the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. This individual is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising the work of Kitchen Maintenance personnel ensuring accurate and timely completion of assigned tasks and compliance with industry guidelines.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical school background in related field preferred. Four to ten years related experience and/or training in a large scale convention and/or multi-purpose facility and a minimum one year experience in management and supervision desired. Type Universal Card Required.
Food and Beverage - Equipment Mechanic III (Kitchen)

General Description: The Engineer III is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Physical Plant and HVAC systems of the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. This individual monitors all systems as to the proper and safe limitation of plant equipment in accordance with industry guidelines.
Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical school background in related field preferred. Four to ten years related experience and/or training. Second Class Stationary Engineer's license with A/C and Boiler endorsements and Universal Refrigeration license required.
Financial Services – Accounting Manager
Salary: Commensurate w/ experience

General Description: The Accounting Manager is responsible for the proper financial recording of general ledger transactions including accounts payable, payroll and other general ledger activities to ensure the accurate preparation of financial statements and other required reports. Additional responsibilities include supervising the Financial Services' staff, assisting with analytical projects, and preparing the year end external audit.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training preferably in a large convention and/or multi-purpose facility; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in governmental accounting and financial reporting preferred. Minimum of three years experience in a supervisory level position, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word required. CPA or CMA preferred.
