Part-time Parking Attendants are needed. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
The Facility Attendant I is responsible for performing the duties necessary for the cleanliness of exhibit hall space, parking lots and the exterior grounds of the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training preferred.
The Technology Technician is responsible for assisting in the installation, operation, maintenance and repair of all network related services for events as well as administrative staff of the New Orleans Morial Convention Center. This individual works closely with full time technicians on show related installs and building projects and is responsible for all moves, adds or changes within the Technology Services Department. Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Excel and Word required. Certifications desired: A+ and/or N+.
The Market Research Analyst is primarily responsible for preparing departmental reports, obtaining historical information on events and conducting surveys of industry trends. Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and two to four years related experience and/or training in a large convention and/or multi-purpose facility preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional Research Certification from MRA preferred. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required. Experience with Navision or Concentrics preferred.
The Network Manager is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the New Orleans Morial Convention Center’s network by providing leadership through the effective and efficient definition, design, monitoring and operational support of the data communications network. This individual shall be a self-driven, conscientious and detail-oriented individual with a passion for technology and a commitment to client satisfaction. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and four to six years related experience and/or training in a convention, hotel and/or multi-purpose facility preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of three years supervisory experience desired. N+ and CCNA Certifications preferred.
The Part Time Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Clerk is responsible for assisting the SRI staff with in-house services such as receiving, reviewing and entering orders for New Orleans Morial Convention Center departments, shipping items to outside parties, and maintaining accountable records of assets owned by the company. Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong administrative skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel a must. Must be able to work flexible hours as business dictates.
The Senior Supervisor assists in the operation the various Public Safety shifts. This individual is responsible for overseeing the Public Safety Shift Supervisor, Supervisor and Officers and protecting the building, personnel, clients and guests from possible safety hazards and responds to and documents all incidents related to public safety. Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred; and three years supervisory experience in a security, safety or law enforcement related field. Years of experience may be substituted for education. Certification in First Aid and CPR desired.
