Purchasing
– Purchasing Clerk
Salary: $11.77- $13.24
FLSA Classification: Non – Exempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Purchasing Clerk is responsible for
assisting the Purchasing Agent with all
aspects of the purchasing cycle which
includes the pricing of orders to the
follow up with staff and vendors
relative to the receipt of orders.
Qualifications: High school diploma or
GED and some college coursework
preferred; and one to two years related
experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and
experience. The Purchasing Clerk shall
demonstrate a professional and positive
attitude in the performance of daily
activities and exhibit excellent verbal,
written and interpersonal skills.
Excellent telephone skills and a basic
proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
required.
Plant
Maintenance – Engineer III
Salary: $20.14
FLSA Classification: Non – Exempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Engineer III is responsible for the
operation and maintenance of the
Physical Plant and HVAC systems of the
New Orleans Morial Convention Center.
This individual monitors all systems as
to the proper and safe limitation of
plant equipment in accordance with
industry guidelines.
Qualifications: High school diploma
or general education degree (GED);
Technical school background in related
field preferred. Four to ten years
related experience and/or training.
Second Class Stationary Engineer's
license with A/C and Boiler endorsements
and Universal Refrigeration license
required.
Sales and
Marketing – Sales Manager
Salary: Starting in low $40’s.
FLSA Classification: Exempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Sales Manager is responsible for
selling event space for the New Orleans
Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, with
an emphasis toward new business
development. This individual will work
cooperatively with the partners within
the hospitality industry on the planning
and execution of joint sales efforts.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from
four-year college or university; and two
to four years related experience and/or
training in a convention, hotel and/or
large multi-purpose facility desired.
Ability to work under minimal
supervision, work extended/irregular
hours including nights, weekends and
holidays as necessary and travel is
required.
Sales
and Marketing: Sales Coordinator
Salary:
$10.59 - $11.92
FLSA Classification: Non – Exempt

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Sales Coordinator is responsible for
performing all clerical and
administrative duties necessary to
support the Sales and Marketing
Department of the New Orleans Morial
Convention Center. This
individual shall assist in the
organizing functions of the department
including scheduling, organizing and
executing site visits and facility
tours, travel arrangements, follow-ups
and RFP. The Sales Coordinator also is
responsible for answering phones,
maintaining files, and transcribing
relatively complex proposal letters,
letters of agreement, reports and
memoranda. Qualifications: Associate's
degree or equivalent from two-year
college or technical school; and one to
two years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of
education and experience. The Sales
Coordinator shall demonstrate a
professional and positive attitude in
the performance of daily activities and
exhibit excellent verbal, written and
interpersonal skills. Excellent
telephone skills and a basic proficiency

assisting the Engineer III in the

Operations - Field Service Tech. -HVAC/ DDC
Auto. Systems
Salary: Comm. w/Exp.

General Description:
The Field Service Technician is
responsible for the maintenance
and installation of the control
and mechanical systems of the
New Orleans Morial Convention
Center which may include: HVAC,
security, and lighting
components in a retrofit
environment as well as the day
to day maintenance of the
systems. Duties shall include,
but are not limited to,
performing scheduled, routine
preventative maintenance on
mechanical, DDC and electrical
equipment/ systems, performing
installations, completing
emergency calls and performing
testing and start up support
with contractors across a wide
range of electrical and
mechanical equipment, systems
and subsystems including
software where applicable. This
individual shall perform service
and maintenance to systems
involving networks, system
integration, open technologies,
software based interfaces, HVAC
control systems and other
facility/ infrastructure
management systems.
Qualifications: High school
diploma or general education
degree (GED); technical school
background in HVAC Controls or
related mechanical, electrical,
security or computer systems
desired. Minimum of four years
experience in HVAC Mechanical
and DDC Automation Systems
servicing the commercial market
required. Minimum certifications
required: Nicet Level 2 and LA
State Fire Alarm Technician.
Must be computer literate and be
proficient in a variety of
mainstream software packages
including Microsoft Excel, Word
and Outlook, able to read and
interpret drawings and
blueprints and possess excellent
written and verbal communication
skills. This individual must be
a self starter and be able to
work independently with minimal
supervision as well as in a team
environment, have excellent
analytical and problem solving
skills and be able to provide
sound, reliable judgment in
complex situations.
